EPFL Intranet access worldwide

Access is available to students, staff and accredited persons (with Accès Intranet right) from any workstation in the world, as long as the local network provider allow establishing a VPN tunnel.

• Mobile Phone GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/LTE of a telephone operator.
• Internet over a LAN.
• WiFi (free or not).

Once the VPN tunnel is established, the computer is "connected" to the EPFL network and all the traffic passes through the EPFL. You must disconnect when it's no longer necessary.
